A short consultation is worth its weight in gold.
I usually start with a simple question: What do you like? Some people have an immediate answer. Others change their minds after seeing various options. And plenty just shrug and say, “No idea.” This is totally normal. The truth is, everyone has a style—it just takes a little investigative work in finding out what that style is. What is the color of your car’s interior? Or the color of your favorite shirt? What would you like your customers to feel first when they walk in the door? These small choices are clues. If you need help, I offer a short, no-strings-attached, consultation. You don’t need to use me to design all the details or manage your project. Yet my years of experience might point you in the right direction or offer you another perspective.
Here’s a soft warning: if you’re after a trending ‘showroom-perfect’ look… I might not be your designer. You will notice from my portfolio, no two projects resemble one another. I’m all about personal esthetics. Imagine I’m your conductor—your life is the music. Function, feel, personality, imagination and a bit of spice… these are the instruments. I may suggest offbeat touches—a cabinet knob made from a branch, stone embedded in a threshold, or lath wood used for cabinets. The point is: to stretch a little, ending up with and interior that’s you all the way. In the end, if your space feels like a reflection of who you are—not just a look—that’s a win in my book. If it seems like you did it and a designer barely touched it, then I’ve done my job.
